The Super Spartan Race is an 8-mile obstacle course race happening in Miami at the Oleta River State Park on Saturday, February 25th. This running race features obstacles like 5′ over under through, 8′ wall, 12′ slippery ramp, cargo net climb, barbed wire crawl, water cannon, traverse wall, and has Spartan inspired elements like the gladiator pit!
Proceeds of the race go to Homes for our Troops, a charity dedicated to providing specialty homes for veterans who have been severely injured.
The goal in the 2012 season is to raise enough money to build a “Spartan Home” for an injured troop. Each participant will receive a Spartan Race t-shirt and medal.
The post-race activities will include an awards ceremony, kid’s race, as well as many other activities guaranteed to be fun for the entire family! If you are interested in battling mud, obstacles, and the occasional Spartan,

The WetNWild 5K Run/Walk will live up to its name. You can expect a mostly flat, fast course over paved road and hard packed dirt. The course winds you inside and outside Wild Rivers Waterpark where just before the finish you have the chance to “run” the Lazy River or take the Walk of Shame. NOTE: you will be waist deep in clean pool water! So whether you’re a competitive athlete or a weekend walker, come join the fun while at the same time contributing to a great cause!
