The world is home to some of the most interesting and fascinating deities. Zeus, Athena, Isis and Odin are perhaps some of the most well known, but there are thousands of lesser known deities who deserve recognition as well.

This is a list of lesser known deities from all around the world, whose names start with the letter D.

Da ? a Tibetan guardian god who sits on your right shoulder and protects you from enemies. He is depicted wearing golden armour, riding a white horse and holds a spear. From his own shoulders, springs a lion and a tiger.
Dabieciba ? an ancient Columbian water goddess.
Dada Zodji ? in the ancient African kingdom of Dahomey (today?s modern Benin). Dada Zodji was the ruler of the earth and the twin brother of Ayauhwe Ananu.
Dadimunda ? in Ceylon, he was the god attendant on Upulvan.
Dag ? the Norse god of daylight. He was the son of Dellinger and Nott.
Dagan ? the supreme god of the Kafir in Afghanistan.
